Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashes near airport in Kazakhstan ...Middle East

Twelve people have survived, authorities said, and the cause of the crash is not immediately clear.

Kazakh authorities said that the blaze had been put out and survivors taken to a nearby hospital.

It was forced to make an emergency landing approximately 3 km (1.8 miles) from Aktau, with Russian news agencies reporting the plane had been rerouted due to fog.
