DENVER (KDVR) — Over 150 people were rescued Saturday after a gondola malfunction at Winter Park Resort, a spokesperson confirmed to FOX31.
Jen Miller, the Public Relations and Communication manager with the resort said the malfunction happened just before noon on Saturday and ski patrol began rescue efforts at 1 p.m.
Ski patrol finished rescuing skiers and riders at 6 p.m., Miller said.
In total, 174 people were rescued by ski patrol.
Miller said the gondola did exactly what it was supposed to and stopped. As of Saturday night, there were no reported injuries.
