The California Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s help finding a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Tuesday night.
CHP responded to reports of a pedestrian in traffic lanes on the Kearny Villa Rd. onramp to the northbound 805 freeway at around 9:03 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived at the scene, they found that the unidentified man had been struck and killed.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the man left the scene of the crash and has not yet been found.
The cause and sequence of events remain under investigation. The name of the person who was killed is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
