His daughter, Pauline Frommer, confirmed that her father died on November 18, “at his home, surrounded by loved ones.” Born in Virginia in 1929, Arthur Frommer attended Yale Law School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. His love of travel and languages inspired him to write and self-publish a guidebook for fellow GIs.
