YOUNGSTOWN — Joyce Ann Petrunia, 91, formerly of Warren, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 10, 2024, her birthday, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. Joyce was born Nov. 10, 1933, in Youngstown, into a devout Irish Catholic family, the daughter of James Hugh and Mary Ann O’Connor McGinty. Joyce was a proud graduate of Ursuline High School in 1951 and went on to graduate from St. Elizabeth Nursing School and then from St. Louis University School of Nursing School with a bachelor’s degree. She had a successful 50-year career as a nurse, working and teaching at St. Elizabeth and Trumbull Memorial hospitals.
