The Triton campus newspaper reported that the as-yet unidentified person — who is not believed to be a UC San Diego student — fell to their death from the eighth-floor stairwell at around 11:35 a.m. Wednesday. Campus police and library workers closed the library and evacuated patrons outside. Due to an incident this morning, effective immediately, Geisel Library will be closed for the rest of the day.
