DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Police Department said officers are ready to respond to any violence that may occur on Election Day and beyond. Police have been training and prepping for election season since the beginning of the year. That training has included police, fire, the sheriff's department and federal authorities. The Denver SWAT team and intelligence unit will also be monitoring activities throughout the city. Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas said all six police districts will be fully staffed during Election Day.
