AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said it was searching for a missing woman Wednesday. A Silver Alert was also issued for the woman by the Texas Alert Network. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 56-year-old Maria Teresa, who is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment, was last seen at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Tillery Street in east Austin. Teresa was described as a 4'3" Hispanic woman with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt with flowers, blue jeans, and black shoes.
