Bournemouth vs. Arsenal - prediction, team news, live stream

Arsenal promises to be a compelling encounter, with the Gunners aiming to maintain their unbeaten streak this season. As of now, Arsenal is favored to win, bolstered by a series of strong performances that have seen them secure victories in their last four matches . In contrast, Bournemouth has struggled recently, losing four out of their last six fixtures and currently sitting mid-table. Despite having a higher number of shots on goal than Arsenal, their inability to convert these opportunities into goals remains a critical concern.

Arsenal will spend Saturday evening at the top of the Premier League table should they pass the Bournemouth test at the Vitality Stadium in Saturday's 5.30pm kickoff.

The Gunners made it four wins on the spin with a 3-1 come-from-behind success versus Southampton two weekends ago, while the Cherries were bested 1-0 by a hitherto winless Leicester City.

Bournemouth have endured a mixed start to the new campaign, Arsenal are yet to be beaten in any competition. Ten places separated the clubs last season and the same gap exists heading into this weekend, but the dynamic approach of the hosts can cause problems for any team.

Arsenal's favour.

Top-half teams have proven to be the Cherries' kryptonite in recent times, though, as each of the hosts' last 10 victories in the Premier League have come against teams ranked 11th or below; they are without a win in their last 11 games against top-half sides.

Furthermore, a 3-0 beatdown at the Emirates in May represented Bournemouth's fourth straight top-flight loss at the hands of Arsenal - who have netted at least three times in all of those triumphs - although the Vitality was the site of the Cherries' only previous win versus the Gunners in January 2018.

Bournemouth may have only amassed eight points from their first seven games - the same tally as Manchester United - but the final score has not always provided a fair reflection of their often impressive performances. As Arteta warned: "They should have had very different results, especially against the big teams and away from home."

Arsenal will have to be wary of their hosts' dangerous press and won't have Odegaard's guile to help pick a way through the pressure of a team Arteta warily described as "super intense". However, the Gunners should have enough firepower to find the net against a side which hasn't kept a clean sheet since April.
