Ironically, one hit me while leading a Memory Writing Workshop in Ukiah’s Senior Center last month. “I’ve been here before,” recalling a long-forgotten music performance I gave there in Bartlett Hall fourteen years ago. I clearly recalled that performance got a mysterious reaction. Some of the mystery was the Senior Center itself. As a middle-ager, I vaguely knew it was a gathering place for older people. My music partner and I were asked to entertain their Ice Cream Social. As a small, local act, we had fun playing civic events, benefits, and wineries.
