LIBERTY — Mavis Yuen-Ha Leung passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born Dec. 29, 1939, in Hong Kong. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Hong Kong Baptist College. Upon completing her education, Mavis embarked on a meaningful career as a medical social worker for Lutheran World Services. She worked there for five years before coming to the United States to join her sisters. She married her college classmate, Kai Chung Leung, on March 23, 1969, in Oakland, California.
