The body of a young woman was found near Lake Mendocino Sunday, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, deputies responded to the Lake Mendocino Spillway area accessed from Rafello Drive around 9:20 p.m. Sept. 1 when it was reported that a “passerby had observed an unresponsive female in the bushes near a hiking trail.” Medical personnel were summoned who later pronounced the woman deceased.
