A fire early Wednesday destroyed a barn behind Hillside Health Center in Ukiah, the Ukiah Valley Fire Authority reported. “When we pulled up, the barn was well-involved, and was almost burned to the ground,” said UVFA Battalion Chief Justin Buckingham, explaining that crews “knocked the fire down in about 10 minutes.” And while some of the flames spread into the vegetation, crews were able to keep it the fire from traveling any significant distance.
