GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) - An investigation is underway in Gastonia after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle, Gastonia Police announced Friday morning. Officers responded to calls regarding the incident on Bessemer City Road near Northwest Blvd. and I-85 around 6 a.m. A victim was found suffering from injuries and was pronounced dead. An initial investigation stated that the victim was a man in his 40's and was struck and killed by a vehicle. Other details have not yet been released and this is an active investigation.
