(KRON) -- Portions of Novato were ordered to evacuate Tuesday night as a grass fire broke out just after 11 p.m. north of Atherton Avenue, according to the Marin County Fire Department. The wildfire, which was pushed east towards Oak Shade Lane, threatened homes in the area, fire officials said. Evacuation orders were issued for Atherton Avenue between Oak Shade Lane and Saddlewood Drive.
