August 5, 2024 (KHARTOUM) – At least 32 people were killed and 107 others injured due to the recent torrential rains and floods that hit several states in Sudan, the Health Ministry said on Monday. “Seven states were affected by the rains and floods, and 5,575 homes were damaged,” Al-Fadil Mohamed Mahmoud, director of the general directorate of health emergencies at the ministry, said in a statement. Also reported was the rise in cases of diarrhea disease, with more than 100 in Kassala, Kartoum and Gezira states.
