SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KRON) -- A young mother was found dead in the Santa Cruz Mountains on Sunday less than 24 hours after her daughter was rescued from a knife-wielding man, investigators said. Watsonville police identified the mother as Lizbeth Arceo Sedano. Her body was found in a heavily wooded area east of The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park. Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office detectives were dispatched to Eureka Canyon Road and Grizzly Flat Road at 9:40 a.m. Sunday to investigate a body.
