The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash which left one person dead early on Friday morning. According to state troopers, the crash occurred around 5:40 a.m. on Interstate 85 North, near the interchange with Orange Grove Road in Hillsborough. All northbound lanes of Interstate 85 near Orange Grove Road were closed for approximately two hours as troopers investigated the scene. The area was cleared at 7:51 a.m. and all northbound lanes are now open. Highway patrol says more details will follow as they are made available.
