CHAMPION — A man from Decatur, Georgia, Scott P. Bellknapp, 58, was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash on North Leavitt Road south of Dalton Drive, according to the Ohio Highway State Patrol. Bellknapp, driving a 2022 Chevrolet Spark, was driving south on North Leavitt Road just before 10:30 p.m. when the vehicle failed to make a curve, went off the road, hit several small trees, overturned and struck a utility pole, according to the patrol. He was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
