Hughes, 39, killed four law enforcement members when a shootout ensued outside a home in east Charlotte after a U.S. Marshals Task Force attempted to serve a warrant on April 29. According to the autopsy report, Hughes suffered ten gunshot wounds to the arms, thighs, buttocks, back and shoulder. Nine bullets were collected by the medical examiner.
