Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to the latest homicide investigation around 1 a.m. near 3800 Statesville Ave. in north Charlotte. One victim was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on scene. There is no mention of a suspect or an arrest at this time. Also overnight, a death investigation took place in south Charlotte.
