Damascus, SANA-  Members of the National committee for hearing survey discussed on Monday ways to enhance the national program’ work of Early Hearing Detection and Intervention of hearing loss with newborns. During the meeting, the Committee members discussed the mechanism of cochlear implants operations and determining the necessary plan of implementation. Health Minister, Dr. Hasan Al-Ghabbash, said that the number of newborn babies who have been tested by the hearing survey reaches 22422 since the launch of the program, with babies were referred to conduct additional studies.
