The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide a EUR 207 million ($222.4 million) credit for energy and other critical infrastructure upgrades in Croatian capital Zagreb. It is EIB’s first loan signature with the city and is also the initial tranche of a EUR 395 million ($424.4 million) loan to support the city’s development in the next five years, the EIB said in a press release. The EIB framework loan will support Zagreb projects to bolster renewable energy, energy efficiency, affordable social housing, public transport network, and digitalization of city services.
