Fire breaks out near Altamont Pass in Alameda County ...Middle East

(KRON) -- Firefighters are battling a fire near the Altamont Pass Wednesday morning. The 5-acre fire is near the intersection of Altamont Pass Road and Grant Line Road, according to Cal Fire. Caspers Hot Dogs to close East Bay location after 8 decades A photo from a nearby PG&E camera showed a lot of smoke emanating from the blaze which was somewhere out among the wind turbines that flank both sides of the freeway along the Altamont Pass.
