The aircraft was traveling to Ohio from Murfreesboro, Tennessee when it experienced engine problems. A flight emergency was declared to the Memphis air traffic control tower prompting them to subsequently contact Jackson County 911. Jackson, Smith, and Macon County public safety personnel were quickly dispatched to the area in an attempt to locate.
