NEWTON FALLS — The Board of Education is searching for a new school superintendent as Justin Christopher, who served the past two years, has submitted his resignation. The board at a special meeting on Monday accepted Christopher’s resignation, effective July 31. Christopher has been named the new grade 3-6 principal for James A. Garfield Schools in Garrettsville. Before becoming superintendent in Newton Falls, Christopher worked one year as principal at the elementary school. He said he wanted to return to a principal position.
