(KRON) – A suspected thief spat in the face of an officer while in handcuffs, according to the Colma Police Department.  At 3:53 p.m. on June 7, Colma police officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Junipero Serra Boulevard on a report of a theft at a retail store. Responding officers were informed the suspect was a known theft offender. According to Colma PD, officers were told that the suspect took multiple items and ran to the exit.  Fremont store security guard slain Officers waited for the suspect outside of the business.
