MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnewaska boys tennis team had a tough draw in the MSHSL Class A State Tournament as it faced the top seed St. Paul Academy-Summit at the Reed-Sweatt Tennis Center in Minneapolis on Tuesday. St. Paul Academy – Summit won the first-round bout on June 4, 7-0, to advance to the state team semifinals. This forced a consolation bout between the No. 4 seed Cotter and Minnewaska. Cotter won the match 6-1. Minnewaska’s win came at No. 2 doubles as the team of Marshall Kopp and Landon Schiffler defeated Cotter’s Mateo Ardines/Oliver Engler in three sets.
