The collision occurred just after 2 a.m. as the man and woman were crossing Grand Avenue at Bayard Street. They were hit by a Ford Explorer and sent flying. The driver sped off, but was later pulled over in the 3700 block of Ingraham Street. He was tested for intoxication and arrested on suspicion of DUI and felony hit-and-run.
