New Orleans Kyley Pulphus-Smith has been hired as education director of KID smART. Pulphus-Smith is an award-winning writer/director who spent several years working in children’s television in Los Angeles. She worked as a classroom teacher, teacher coach and teacher consultant for the Greater New Orleans Writing Project and founded a youth writing nonprofit that helped thousands of young people. She earned a bachelor’s in communications from the University of New Orleans, a master’s in filmmaking from Florida State University and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from LSU.
