بعد أيام من توصية البرلمان اللبناني تعميم التدقيق الجنائي على حسابات مؤسسات الدولة والمصرف المركزي، أرسل وزير المال في حكومة تصريف الأعمال غازي وزني كتاباً إلى حاكم مصرف لبنان رياض سلامة طلب فيه تنفيذ قرار البرلمان وفقاً للقانون. وجاء في نصّ الكتاب الموجه إلى سلامة: «نتمنى عليكم تنفيذ قرار مجلس النواب، وإخضاع جميع حسابات الإدارات العامة للتدقيق المحاسبي الجنائي، وذلك وفقاً للقوانين والأنظمة المرعية الإجراء، ومع حفظ حقوق الدولة لأي جهة كانت».
