WARREN — A former caretaker accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a 99-year-old World War II veteran pleaded not guilty to three felony charges in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Thursday. Felicia Splitstone, 35, appeared before Judge Ronald Rice for her arraignment on charges of fourth- degree theft from a person in a protected class, receiving stolen property and fifth-degree forgery. She also posted a $2,500 bond. Splitstone was hired through a Pennsylvania-based caretaker company by the victim’s family after a medical emergency.
