Moscow / SANA- Within the ATOMEXPO-2024 Forum held in Sochi, both Syria and Russia signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Atomic Energy Commission of Syria (AECS) and Rosatom State Atomiс Energy Corporation (ROSATOM) in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy. Based on a cooperation agreement and the MoU, an implementation plan has been established including the supply of some radioactive isotopes for medical uses to Syria as well as some isotopes used in non-destructive testing that are conducted for oil pipelines, fuel tanks and aircrafts, said AECS’s Director General Ibrahim Othman in a statement.
