KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A shooting at Crown Center on Wednesday night left six people injured and some businesses inside are dealing with the damage left behind. One of those businesses is Empanada Madness, a small family-owned restaurant calling Crown Center home for a little less than a year. They had closed just minutes before the shooting took place. Empanada Madness Owner, Andrea Penaloza said they had to prepare for a catering order of 300 empanadas for Thursday. They had to drain the oil to get fresh oil ready and be prepared to come back in at 3 a.m. for a 6:30 a.m. delivery. “We closed a few minutes early in order for us to get all those things done,” said Empanada Madness
