A woman who was found dead in a van days after her son was involved in a traffic collision in Willits died of an accidental drug overdose, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, the death of Christine Ann Randolph, 53, of Eureka, was classified “as an accident with her cause of death being Acute Combined Diazepam, Nordiazepam and Morphine Toxicity (by the) Chief Deputy Coroner.” Randolph’s death was being investigated by the MCSO after deputies responded to a crash in the area of Sherwood Road and Birch Terrace in Willits on Oct. 8, 2023.
