CHICAGO – Jeremy Fears Jr., freshman on the Michigan State University basketball team, was shot while visiting his hometown of Joliet over the holidays. Fears was shot in the leg overnight Friday. He was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury, according to Michigan State’s Athletic Department. “Jeremy underwent surgery this morning and is resting comfortably.
