WAYLAND, N.Y. — Two women from Rochester have been hospitalized with serious injuries after a single-car crash in Steuben County over the weekend.
It happened Sunday at around 2:42 p.m. on State Route 63 in the town of Wayland. State Police say the two were heading east on Route 63 when the car left the roadway and hit multiple trees and a home.
The driver, 23-year-old Liz Maldonado, was brought to Noyes Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The passenger, 23-year-old Evelyne Maldonado, was brought to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
According to State Police, the driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt, but the passenger was.
