Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Deputy Superintendent of Excise-cum-I/C Superintendent of Excise, Nabarangpur for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of 208% of his income. The excise official has been identified as Ganga Paikray. Due to the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Paikray, simultaneous searches were conducted by the Vigilance sleuths at six places in Koraput and Nabarangpur districts. During the raids, disproportionate assets of 208% of Paikray’s income including two multi storeyed buildings, five plots in Jeypore town, cash Rs. 1.12 lakh, two four wheelers, etc. were unearthed, the Vigilance said.
