CAIRO, Nov 20 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi signed Law No. 182 of 2023 on reorganizing the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM) and amending some provisions of the Children’s Law issued in 1996. The first article of the law stipulates the re-structuring of the NCCM and the Childhood and Motherhood Welfare Fund. As per the newly sanctioned law, members of the NCCM and its Secretary-General, will continue to perform their duties until a new council is formed, and the employees of the NCCM and the Childhood and Motherhood Fund will be transferred to the new council and fund without any change in their job titles, functions and financial status.
