MILLBURY – The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a non-injury crash involving a semi-tractor tanker combination and a train that occurred this morning at 8:38 a.m. on southbound Fostoria Road near Ohio 795. The preliminary investigation showed a Freightliner semi-tractor tanker combination, operated by William J. Herrod, 26, Toledo, was driving southbound on Fostoria Road when it was struck by a westbound train. Before the crash occurred, the Freightliner was crossing the railroad tracks after an eastbound train had cleared the crossing and the gates went up. As the Freightliner was crossing the tracks, the gates came down as a westbound train approached. T
