A Perrysburg man is in jail after being arrested for allegedly strangling a household member. A Wood County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Ricky E. Deal, 51, for strangulation, a third-degree felony, and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On July 15, Deal allegedly created a risk of serious physical harm to a woman by strangulation after he allegedly placed both hands on her throat and began applying pressure. The woman told police she almost lost consciousness. The officer observed bruising on the woman’s face and throat as well as on both arms.
