The Ministry of Health and Population has held the first scientific conference to raise people’s awareness of Mediterranean anemia and sickle cell anemia diseases in adults. The conference was attended by members of the scientific committee of the president’s initiative mandating pre-marriage medical tests, in addition to a number of haematologists from across Egypt, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
