The demolition of Kafr al-Zayat Park, as part of development plan and road widening works, in front of the Partial Court of Kafr al-Zayat in Gharbiya Governorate has unveiled an underground bunker. The discovery is more than half a century old, and it was probably dug in the 1960s, Youm7 reported. During excavation workers found an entrance to a secret tunnel built with concrete. A security cordon was imposed around the area and an engineering committee was formed from the city council. This was in coordination with the Ministry of Antiquities, to inspect the tunnel, and prepare an urgent engineering report on it.
