A Ukiah man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an illegal weapon known as a “zip gun” recently after reportedly trying to flee arrest, the Ukiah Police Department reported. According to the UPD, an officer contacted a man known to have a warrant out for his arrest who was walking near the intersection of Perry and Rupe streets shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday.
