A Willits man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence after allegedly chasing a woman with a machete and a sledge hammer, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, deputies responded to the 1400 block of Hullet Place in Willits around 10:30 p.m. Sept. 23 when a woman called 911 to report that her husband choked her and threatened her with a machete before the phone disconnected. When dispatchers were able to re-connect with the victim, she reported that the suspect, identified as Lewis A.
