An unoccupied California Highway Patrol vehicle was struck by a passing motorist Sunday on Highway 101 near Willits, the CHP reported. According to the CHP, officers had responded to the scene of a traffic collision around 10:30 a.m. on June 12 and were conducting traffic control near mile post marker 41.40 when a parked patrol vehicle was struck.
