A small plane caught fire Monday after crashing near Willits, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, around 8:30 a.m. May 30 deputies were dispatched to the 16000 block of Hearst Willits Road in Willits for a report of a small plane crashing and causing a fire on private property.
