“The 1st Annual Caney Fork Classic Junior Livestock Beef Show, sponsored by the Smith County Republican Party, was a success. FFA students were honored and were given the spotlight to show their livestock. For many students this was the first time showing cows. Over $800 in prizes were earned by the show contestants, in addition to 1st, 2nd, and 3rdplace ribbons. A Best Of Show trophy was presented by the ‘River Point Ranch’. The Smith County FFA Chapter also held a silent auction and raised money for their program. A special thanks to State Representative Terri Lynn Weaver for opening with our National Anthem, and to the UT Extension, the Smith County FFA, Helens Restaurant
