Wednesday night was the second night of Season 1 of Star Search on Netflix with showstopping performances from eight new contestants across four different categories going head-to-head for a chance to make it one step closer to stardom!
Episode 1 winners will compete again next week on Tuesday, Jan. 27 against challengers in their respective categories. Those winners were Eric Ardrien Williams (Juniors), Movement 55 (Dance), TJ Salta (Variety, Magic) and H3rizon (Music, Group).
The 5-week live show will search for the stars of tomorrow with the winner taking home the grand prize of $500,000.

Hosted by Anthony Anderson, the judges for the updated version of the talent competition are Jelly Roll,Sarah Michelle Gellar and Chrissy Teigen.
The Star Search categories are Music, Dance, Juniors, Comedy and Variety (which includes multiple sub-categories, such as magic).

Jelly said: “First of all, I want to be honest, I got judgy when you first walked up. I go to comedy shows. The guitar, it’s like I can’t really tell a joke, but I love that you opened with a real joke. Good job.”

Chrissy said: “What a good baby. My dog can’t even see a horse on the screen without popping his pans. Going between your legs my dogs but not controlled. That was so cool to see that live. We had music and lights, and he was on track the whole time. It was so good to see your connection.”

Jelly said: “I had no clue. I prayed this morning. I said, ‘God, give me an opportunity to talk about you.’ I said, ‘God, night one was great, but I didn’t get to my purpose yet. God you called me here to talk about you.’ What I just saw was a room full of people that might not have felt it before but that was the holy spirit of God. He doesn’t care about your addiction. He is here to be a father to you, so you can sing his name on the biggest streaming service in the world. This is a moment to show what God has done. He loves everybody. You took our song and yu gave it to God.”
