YouTuber Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson may have the most YouTube subscribers in the world — but that's simply not enough for him. Donaldson has been branching out, and ever since December 2024, he has hosted his very own game show on Prime Video called Beast Games.
Season 1 of the Squid Game-inspired show featured a whopping 1,000 contestants competing for $10 million, and Season 2 will chronicle 200 contestants (100 who are "strong" and 100 who are "smart") battling for a $5 million prize. It's too late for hopeful competitors to be a part of Season 2, but fortunately, Prime Video has already renewed Beast Games for Season 3.

Is MrBeast casting for Season 3 of Beast Games yet?
As of January 2026, MrBeast has not yet announced a casting call for Season 3 of Beast Games. In May 2024, the official MrBeast Casting Instagram page put out a request for casting applications for Season 1. And then in March 2025, the page put out a casting call for Season 2. Hopefully MrBeast will open applications for Season 3 soon.

What do you need to apply for Beast Games?
Brett Westgor, who competed as Contestant 606 in Season 1 of Beast Games, created a detailed YouTube video about the application process for the show.
According to his video, you'll need to make an audition tape as part of your application for Beast Games. For the tape, he recommends keeping things short and sweet, showing off your personality, being "unforgettable in the first 10 seconds," displaying positive energy and competitiveness, explaining why you want to be on the show and showing why you'd be great on it.

While you wait for Season 3 applications to open, Westgor recommends training for the show. For his YouTube video, Westgor got some preparation advice from Gage Gallagher, who came in third place on Season 1 of BeastGames (which came with a $1 million prize).
Before filming starts, Gallagher recommends getting physically fit (with activities like going to the gym, running and swimming) and mentally preparing for how "crazy" the filming process can be. And if you do get on the show, Gallagher advises remaining humble and being open to making connections with fellow competitors.
What is it like to be on Beast Games?
After Season 1 premiered, The Guardian called the show "degrading" and "a dystopian nightmare." Allegations also came out that the show was abusing its participants, per Deadline. A group of competitors from the show even lodged a lawsuit against production, claiming that they experienced sexual harassment and that there was not enough food, water, health care and shelter, among other allegations.
An investigation soon after "found no evidence to support those claims," per The New York Times. However, a few prior Beast Games contestants have shared tidbits from their filming experience online, which range from terrible to great.
On one Reddit thread, someone wrote that "the experience was horrible ... due to immense stress and pressure."
Plenty of other participants claimed to have enjoyed their time on the show. One Redditor wrote that they "had a lot of fun" filming. And another noted that during the days before and after filming inside Allegiant Stadium (where the competition took place), contestants were sequestered in nice hotels, but they got free meals and they were paid per diems.
